Job summary

Sam's Club in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Senior Meat Cutter to drive local sales and meet member expectations. You will cut, slice, grind and wrap meat products, train teammates, and ensure food safety and sanitation throughout high-volume operations.

You will collaborate with store teams, leverage handheld tech for decisions, and help maintain stock, packaging and labeling while delivering quality products and strong member service.

Qualifications

• 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if selected for the position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; provide customer service and maintain in-stock levels while controlling shrinkage.
• Process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) and ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize meat-processing equipment and manage backroom operations.
• Utilize handheld technology to inform production, training and product quality decisions in real time.
