Job description

Position Summary...

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do...

  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, develop interpersonal skills for customer service, and be flexible to business needs. Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of different meat types and seasonality, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping). Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and engage associates. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and encourage others to adopt new tools.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring high standards for meat quality, reducing waste, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assisting members with purchasing, and ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service and products, executing tasks at the highest level, and training colleagues to perform their duties effectively.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics, and promote an open-door policy. Execute business processes with integrity.
  • Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with team members, managing deadlines, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage for the location. Additional premiums may apply based on specific circumstances.
