Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 1,040 hours of experience in the specialized recreation area or six months of recreation work with at least 100 hours of volunteer experience.
• Preferred qualifications mention experience with congregate meal programs, senior services, or related community programs.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and events is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, conducts and guides participants in classes, workshops, events or programs.
• Uses registration software and creates reports and promotional materials.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness of recreation facilities and maintains equipment.
• Requisitions supplies and maintains records and reports.
• May collect payments and perform bank deposits as part of registration.
• National Fitness certification may be required within 6 months.
