Job summary

St. Mary’s County Government seeks a part-time meals delivery aide to transport meals from the senior activity center kitchen to congregate meal sites and identified homes within St. Mary’s County.

Scheduled times vary, with potential shifts 9 a.m.–1 p.m., totaling up to 10 hours weekly. You will deliver meals, check on seniors at their homes, maintain records, and help drive county vehicles. Requires High School diploma or GED and 6–12 months related experience; background check and drug test

Qualifications

• Must safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of County roads including local routes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with consumers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals in bulk to senior activity centers and congregate housing sites.
• Delivers meals to homes in St. Mary’s County.
• Checks current status of consumers in their homes.
• Maintains records of meals delivered; maintains County vehicles.
• Delivers interoffice mail and program supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
