Job summary

Join our elite Unit 42 team at Palo Alto Networks as a Senior Managed Detection and Response Analyst. You will detect and respond to complex cyber incidents, manage escalations, and lead shift operations using the Cortex Platform. This is a remote, global role with weekend coverage and 24x7 operations.

You will collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Security Research teams to improve detection capabilities while supporting customers worldwide. U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SOC, incident response, MDR, or managed security services experience.
• Hands-on with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewall technologies.
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack techniques, and IR processes.
• Working knowledge of APT operations and the attack cycle.
• Experience with investigative technologies such as SIEM, packet capture, forensics, and EDR tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with customers.
• Willingness to work overnight/weekend shifts in a 24x7 MDR operation.
• U.S. citizenship required for business/customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Own investigation and response lifecycle of security alerts across environments.
• Analyze endpoint, network, identity, and cloud telemetry to identify threats.
• Document findings and remediation actions to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with MDR management to improve workflow and capabilities.
• Partner with Threat Intelligence and Security Research teams to enhance detection.
