Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Analyst for a remote, shift-based role that supports global time zones. You will detect and respond to complex cyber incidents, manage escalations, and lead security operations using the Cortex Platform.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in SOC/IR/MDR, strong knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewalls, and the ability to work 24x7 with weekend or overnight shifts. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SOC, IR, MDR, or MSS experience.
• Hands-on with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of cyber threats and IR processes.
• Knowledge of APT operations and attack cycle.
• Understanding of cyber protection tools and remediation techniques.
• Experience with investigative tech like SIEM, packet capture, forensics, and EDR.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer collaboration.
• Willingness to work overnight/weekend/holiday shifts in a 24x7 MDR
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Own the investigation and response lifecycle of security alerts.
• Analyze endpoint, network, identity and cloud telemetry to detect threats.
• Document findings and remediation actions for customers and teams.
• Collaborate with MDR management to enhance operations and workflows.
• Partner with Threat Intelligence and Security Research to improve detections.
