Job summary

CTC is seeking a senior data analyst specialized in Master Data Management to profile source data, measure quality, and ensure a single source of truth across the data ecosystem.

You will define match and survivorship rules in Ab Initio, collaborate with ETL and DBA teams, and partner with data stewards and business stakeholders to drive governance and trusted analytics at Oncor.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data analysis with 2+ years in MDM or data quality.
• Advanced SQL; hands-on data profiling and reconciliation.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and SQL Server databases.
• Ab Initio MDM platform experience preferred; ETL/REST APIs a plus.
• Regulated industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Profile source data and measure data quality (completeness, uniqueness, validity, consistency).
• Define and tune match, merge, and survivorship rules in Ab Initio.
• Investigate data anomalies and root-cause duplicates; propose fixes.
• Build dashboards on match accuracy, duplicates, and MDM health.
• Configure deduplication rules and survivorship criteria.
• Write requirements, mappings, and acceptance tests for MDM integrations.
• Collaborate with ETL, replication, and DBA teams on data transformations.
• Work with Data Stewards on review queues and remediation processes.
• Develop data integration workflows to connect source systems to MDM hub.
• Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to implement MDM at Oncor.
• Support Data Governance functions: definitions, lineage, dictionary.
• Assist support teams with pro-active data movement and transformation practices.
• Explain data problems to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Profile source data and measure data quality (completeness, uniqueness, validity and consistency)


• Profile source data and measure data quality (completeness, uniqueness, validity and consistency)


• Define and tune match, merge, and survivorship rules in Ab Initio including thresholds, weights and exception handling in collaboration with data stewards


• Investigate data anomalies/issues reported by Business and Root-cause duplicates and false merges. Provide recommendations for mitigation and drive fixes upstream


• Build dashboards and reports on match accuracy, duplicate rate, MDM health, stewardship backlog, and business impact


• Configure and tune rules, deduplication routines, and survivorship criteria to ensure a single source of truth in data set.


• Write requirements, mappings, and acceptance tests for MDM integrations


• Work with ETL, Replication and DBA teams to determine data transformations, data movement and derivations and document accordingly


• Work with Data Stewards on review queues; define unmerge and remediation processes


• Build and optimize data integration workflows connecting source systems to centralized MDM hub


• Partner with analysts, data governance teams, and business stakeholders to implement master data management at Oncor.


• Support Data Governance functions such as definitions, ownership, documenting lineage, data standardization, and dictionary.


• Work with support teams to ensure consistent and pro‑active support methodologies are adhered to for all aspects of data movements and data transformations


• Assist in break fix and production validation as it relates to data derivations, replication and structures


• Ability to explain data problems to non‑technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data analysis with 2 or more years in MDM or data quality


• Advanced SQL; hands‑on data profiling and reconciliation is essential


• Previous experience working with Oracle Exadata and SQL Server databases

Experience With An MDM Platform (Ab Initio Preferred)

• Extensive working knowledge of Data Governance, ETL, REST API development, OLAP and best practices for data tracking


• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast‑paced agile environment managing multiple priorities


• Ability to explain data problems to non‑technical stakeholders


• Strong attention to Detail


• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team


• Denodo Experience a plus


• Big Data Experience a plus (Hadoop, MongoDB)


• Postgres and Cloud Experience is a plus


• Regulated Industry experience is a plus
