Job summary

Submer is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Houston, Texas, to lead the electrical design and commissioning of modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale customers. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors, ensuring power systems meet high-density AI compute requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in electrical power systems, particularly in data center environments. Submer offers an attractive compensation package and a diverse, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical power systems.
• 3–5 years in data center or modular facility delivery.
• Delivery of 10 MW+ power projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of modular data center power systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure compatibility with cooling systems.
• Drive compliance with safety standards and manage AHJ submissions.

Skills

MV/LV distribution expertise

UPS systems knowledge

Experience in electrical design
