Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Senior MCAD Designer for an aerospace manufacturing client in Chaska, MN. This on-site, full-time role offers $87,500–$105,000 annually plus quarterly bonus.

The position supports new product development and derivatives, interpreting industry standards to produce precise, manufacturable designs. You will design 3D layouts, create manufacturing docs with tolerance stacks, maintain a parts library, and collaborate with engineers through ECN/AECN processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience as an electro-mechanical designer.
• Experience with PTC Creo 4.0+ and Windchill 12.0.
• Strong GD&T and machining knowledge.
• US citizenship required (ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 3D layouts of parts and assemblies with tolerances.
• Create manufacturing documentation with tolerance stacks.
• Build and maintain library of reusable parts.
• Maintain documentation through ECN/AECN processes.
• Apply GD&T to designs and interpret industry standards.
• Prepare annotated drawings from 3D models and assemblies.
• Own projects from concept through production within an integrated team.
• Analyze designs for improvements with engineers.
