Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the MDA Chief Engineer. You will advance model-based engineering, develop system models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move away from document-driven approaches.

Emphasis on MBSE tools and architecture development will be key. The role requires a Master’s in a STEM field, 12+ years of experience, and an active Secret clearance, with a strong background in MBSE and interoperability domains.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
• 12+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Strong MBSE experience and capability to model complex systems.
• Ability to excel in a team setting and coordinate across multiple teams.
• Experience with Interface or Interoperability engineering domains.

Responsibilities

• Assist with capturing and developing new system models to become the backbone for future engineering efforts.
• Leverage MBSE tools to model and analyze system architectures.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to collaborate on models.
