Job summary

5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, is seeking a highly motivated systems engineer to provide full lifecycle engineering support for turbine engine technology programs in aerospace and defense. The candidate will develop requirements, create design documentation, and generate Cameo models while interfacing with project teams, leadership, and customers.

Qualifications

Experience developing system requirements, system designs, and verification documentation.
Experience with MBSE and Cameo.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Sense of ownership, urgency, and drive to accomplish results.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer/stakeholder requirements, decompose and allocate to subsystems.
Develop system architectures for new and existing systems.
Conduct trade studies to determine optimal requirements and architecture.
Create interface definitions, system schematics, and system description documents.
Develop and execute system verification.
Develop MBSE processes, templates, and best practices.
Lead or support system engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
Prepare proposals and presentation materials.
Perform peer reviews of team members’ work.
Develop and review test plans and reports.
Support planning and execution of HWIL, subsystem, and system testing.
Travel to customer locations as needed (<25%).
