Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an MBSE Systems Architect Engineer in California to lead model-based architecture efforts for next-generation aerospace campaigns.

The role requires applying SysML v2 and UAF, developing architecture artifacts, and collaborating across systems teams while maintaining a Secret clearance. Locations include Rancho Bernardo or El Segundo, CA, with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have MBSE experience on complex aerospace/defense projects.
• Experience with SysML v2 and UAF.
• Strong system architecture and requirements development background.
• Active US Government Secret or higher clearance required or eligible for it.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MBSE architecture products for advanced concepts and campaigns.
• Apply SysML v2 and UAF to capture structure, behavior, interfaces, and traceability.
• Translate mission needs into model-based architecture artifacts.
• Support concept exploration, trade studies, and technical decisions for next-gen capabilities.
• Decompose complex problems into architectural modeling tasks.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and mission teams to align models with direction.
