KBR, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Mid-Level Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a classified, all-domain mission system development program for the Department of War.

You will develop system and mission-level models informing capability design, integration, and verification within a rigorous engineering environment, onsite in a classified facility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to mature architectures, perform trade studies, maintain model traceability, and support

Qualifications

• Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI and ability to obtain clearance prior to start date.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with NoMagic/Cameo suite; proficiency in SysML and system modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop system, mission, and architecture models using SysML and MBSE best practices.
• Integrate MBSE tools to perform trade studies and analyses of alternatives.
• Establish and maintain full traceability between requirements, design, risks, schedules, and verification artifacts.
• Track MOEs and TPMs to inform engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to mature architectures and support design reviews.
• Maintain model baselines and version control in collaborative repositories.
• Support executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows for system behavior.
• Present model products, findings, and insights to review boards and stakeholders.
