Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support a large SETA program for the NRO Ground Enterprise Directorate. This role focuses on MBSE, digital engineering, and agile practices to drive missioncritical space systems development.

You will work across government, SETA, and industry partners to capture requirements, develop architecture, and produce model-based artifacts that inform acquisition decisions and system definitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors with 9+ years experience, or Masters with 7+ years.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 10+ years of system engineering experience.
• Background in GEOINT or SIGINT.
• MBSE and Digital Engineering experience.
• Agile practices in system acquisition.
• Experience with government acquisition documentation.
• Ability to brief government stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering, MBSE, and related methods to create end-to-end digital content.
• Capture customer needs and develop requirements, architecture and operations concepts.
• Develop models of future systems representing architecture and requirements.
• Lead MBSE-driven improvement of repeatable SE processes.
• Develop SOW/RFP artifacts and support proposal assessments.
• Collaborate across organizations to define future space capabilities.
• Coordinate discussions with SMEs and stakeholders on technical aspects.
• Identify, track, and manage technical and acquisition dependencies.
