Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Principal Systems Engineer and Systems Architect to advance the Weapons Government Reference Architecture (GRA) and Weapons Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) for conventional weapons. On-site at Eglin AFB, FL, you will drive MBSE efforts and interface with government and industry partners to enable competitive, modular design and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related field.
• 15+ years in systems engineering or architecture for defense/aerospace.
• Hands-on MBSE, model-based data packages, and modular open systems concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal systems engineer and architect for evolving Weapons GRA and WOSA into an implementable framework.
• Translate architecture concepts into clear terms for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Lead MBSE efforts to define physical parameters, interfaces, and data packages for modular systems.
• Augment and refine the Weapons GRA to be applicable across current and future Air Force programs.
• Define structure and requirements for model-based severable data packages and interfaces.
