Job summary

American Technology Solutions International Corp. (ATSI) seeks a Model Based Systems Engineer III to serve as a senior technical expert developing, integrating, and maintaining advanced MBSE models for NSWC Crane programs.

You will lead MBSE architectures, mentor teams, and ensure modeling rigor, traceability, and integration across requirements, design, test, and sustainment, with active SECRET clearance. This role requires deep MBSE expertise and collaboration with DoD customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of MBSE experience in complex engineering environments.
• Expert knowledge of MBSE methodologies, standards, and frameworks (e.g., SysML-based approaches).
• Proficiency with UML for systems modeling and documentation.
• Active SECRET clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of MBSE architectures, models, and workflows for large-scale systems.
• Apply expert MBSE methodologies to guide project teams and ensure modeling rigor and consistency.
• Develop and refine system models using industry-standard MBSE tools and techniques.
• Utilize UML to represent system structures, behaviors, and interactions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into models.
• Review, validate, and verify system models for traceability and compliance.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership in MBSE best practices and tool usage.
• Support program reviews, technical documentation, and stakeholder communications using model-based artifacts.
• Ensure model integration across phases from requirements to sustainment.
