Job summary

AoPS Academy in Bellevue is seeking a Senior Instructor - Math to lead a full course load during the Academic Year and Summer sessions. This full-time, year-round position involves teaching math, grading, and student/family support with opportunities to teach language arts as well.

The Senior Instructor will report to the Campus Director, assist other instructors, design outreach workshops, and model best teaching practices through observations and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, strongly preferred to be in education or a related field.
• Advanced degree related to subject area preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in their subject area.
• At least 2 years of prior K‑12 teaching experience or at least 1 year teaching experience with AoPS Academy.

Responsibilities

• Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation‑oriented classes.
• Manage all grading and administrative tasks for their assigned classes.
• Support the grading needs of other instructors and directors as needed.
• Hold regular office hours for students in their assigned classes.
• Meet with students and families for on‑demand support meetings.
• Participate in teacher training and mentoring with other teachers.
• Assist Directors with planning and facilitating professional development sessions.
• Create and implement content‑specific in‑reach / outreach workshops.
• Contribute to course feedback and curriculum discussions.
