Job summary

AoPS Academy in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Instructor - Math to lead a full course load across Academic Year and Summer sessions. You will manage grading, administration, and support other instructors while modelling best teaching practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. 2+ years of K-12 teaching or 1 year with AoPS Academy is desirable. Evening and weekend hours apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of K-12 teaching experience or 1+ year teaching with AoPS Academy.
• Strong content knowledge in the subject area.
• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes.
• Manage all grading and administrative tasks for assigned classes.
• Support grading needs of other instructors and directors.
• Hold regular office hours for students.
• Meet with students and families for on-demand support meetings.
• Assist Directors with professional development sessions.
• Create and implement in-reach / outreach workshops.
• Contribute feedback for curriculum improvements.
