Job summary

Cambium Assessment is seeking a Manager with deep math content and test development experience to lead teams of Test Developers and Item Writers. You will shape innovative assessment approaches, collaborate across divisions, and present findings to senior leadership and clients.

The role emphasizes remote-first work, travel 1–8 times per year, and close collaboration with Test Development leadership. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Math Education with at least 8 years of experience leading development of content for large-scale summative assessments or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a management role (People or Project).
• Deep content knowledge and familiarity with the U.S. Education System and Education Assessment.
• Experience with innovative assessment products and content development processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• May manage a team of Test Developers and Item Writers.
• Contributes to and executes a complex plan vetted by Test Development leadership.
• Manages client and stakeholder expectations and resolves requests in a timely manner.
• Identifies risks to scope, schedule, and budget, escalating as needed.
• Presents as content specialist in TAC meetings and to senior leadership.
• May oversee client-facing meetings as content specialist during standard setting and related activities.
• Drives Content and Test Development training and preparation for standard setting.
• Contributes to proposal work as needed.
