Job summary

The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) seeks a Senior Research Advisor to conduct quantitative studies focusing on maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity. The role reports to the Deputy Director, Research and Evaluation, and supports the DOHMH BMIRH mission by identifying literature gaps and formulating high-impact research questions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in a quantitative field.
• Senior epidemiologist with 15+ years of experience.
• PI on public health studies and publication track record.
• Expertise in causal inference, ML techniques, and longitudinal analysis.
• Experience in maternal health research and health equity.

Responsibilities

• Take required DOHMH CITI training.
• Analyze and mentor staff on research design and methods.
• Develop research questions and conduct analyses for manuscripts.
• Collaborate to translate findings into actionable policy recommendations.
