Job summary

Edwards is seeking an experienced professional to join the Metals Center of Excellence in Irvine, CA. You will apply advanced materials testing and characterization to support Edwards’ medical device projects, partnering with R&D, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, generating reliable data, and guiding test method development while ensuring GDP, EHS, and quality guidelines are met in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials testing and characterization for medical devices or R&D labs.
• Development of test methods and validation activities.
• Strong documentation practices and GDP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate materials testing equipment (tensile, fatigue, corrosion).
• Collect, document, and interpret test data with rigor.
• Develop and validate test methods and support equipment qualification.
• Train and mentor junior staff on procedures and safety.
