Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Materials Testing specialist to support the Metals Center of Excellence. You will operate tensile/fatigue, corrosion, DSC, microscopes, and SEM equipment, generate data, and provide technical insights for product development and quality decisions.

You will train staff, develop test methods, validate equipment, and drive improvements across procedures and fixtures in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical degree and 8 years of related experience in an R&D lab or medical device industry; OR 10 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of laboratory equipment, troubleshooting, and GDP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for materials testing, instrument qualification, and validation.
• Set up and operate tests, collect and interpret data, and develop test methods.
• Maintain lab equipment and coordinate with vendors for maintenance.
• Train and guide engineers and other staff on procedures.
