VAST Data is seeking a Senior Commodity & Materials Manager to lead materials readiness, inventory health, and supply planning for sustaining production and product transitions. You will collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations to optimize loading, data feeds, and supplier relationships.

This role demands analytical rigor, cross-functional influence, and hands-on execution in a fast-paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years managing materials in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Visio.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Experience creating cross-functional workflows and processes.
• Experience driving materials and inventory strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials readiness for sustaining production and product transitions.
• Maintain and validate supply, demand and inventory data for weekly reviews.
• Monitor aging inventory, slow-moving parts, shortages and demand shaping opportunities.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to track supply status and resolve issues.
• Generate materials planning dashboards, reporting and analytics to improve visibility.
