Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Groton, CT seeks a highly innovative Materials Scientist with deep expertise in non-traditional solid-form strategies for bRo5 molecules, including PROTACs, RIPTACs, and molecular glues. The role supports advanced solid form screening, ASD formulations, and predictive models in a full-time on-site capacity.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (MS) with 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong pharmaceutical, API, small molecules testing for drug production is required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical solid state characterization techniques (e.g., X-ray powder diffraction, DSC, TGA).
• Experience with FTIR, NIR, FT-Raman and/or SSNMR.
• Experience with amorphous solid dispersion strategies and solid form screening.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced solid-state characterization of large bRo5 molecules.
• Apply novel crystallization techniques to recrystallize bRo5 molecules.
• Support multidisciplinary teams in screening activities for crystallization, polymorph, salt, and co-crystal.
• Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry, Formulation and Biopharmaceutics to align screening strategies.
• Solve scientific problems using Materials Science experimental techniques.
• Contribute to new scientific approaches within the Materials Science organization.
• Maintain contemporaneous electronic lab notebook entries following best practices.
