Job summary

Entegris in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Materials Quality Engineering to ensure high-quality raw materials for manufacturing and manage supplier risk.

You will lead supplier quality investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvements, collaborating with Procurement, Operations, R&D, and Customer Quality to sustain a robust supply chain.

This role requires a BS in a relevant engineering field, 3+ years of experience, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in chemical/materials production with quality or manufacturing focus.
• Six Sigma knowledge preferred; semiconductor industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Resolve supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze data sets to enable clear cross-functional decision making.
• Lead risk assessments for supplier changes (MOC) and implement changes.
• Drive supplier improvement through audits, scorecards, SPC, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop part specs, QA criteria, test methods, and quality documentation.
• Support supplier and material capabilities for new product development.
