Job summary

ProStaff Workforce Solutions seeks a Senior Manager, Materials & Planning for a direct-hire opportunity in Billerica, MA. You will oversee production planning, purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations within a cGMP-regulated environment.

The role requires managing production schedules, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring FDA/SOP compliance. Strong leadership, vendor management, and ERP/MRP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising both non-exempt and exempt staff.
• Knowledge of FDA/cGMP/SOP compliance.
• Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with production scheduling and inventory flow management.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production planning process.
• Slot production run and ensure material availability using MRP.
• Oversee purchasing of materials, supplies, and services; identify cost savings.
• Utilize MRP/ERP tools to minimize inventory and ensure material availability.
• Assess and improve current MRP/ERP systems for forecasting requirements.
• Collaborate with Development Group to identify material needs for new products.
• Set specifications and inspection procedures.
• Manage storage and material workflow throughout the site.
• Track inventory movements and enforce cGMP standards.
• Maintain vendor relationships and participate in audits.
• Hire, train, and supervise buyers and warehouse staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
