Job summary

Redbock - an NES Fircroft company is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to manage procurement, material planning, and inventory control for GMP drug product manufacturing. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging for production schedules.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in life sciences supply chain, strong ERP/MRP experience, and a track record of reducing shortages and improving inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5–10+ years in Buyer/Planner or related roles in life sciences.
• Experience with GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience and data analysis skills.
• Proven ability to manage direct and indirect materials.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, inventory levels, lead times, and forecasted demand.
• Develop purchasing plans and manage procurement for raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, and manufacturing supplies.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Analyze ERP/MRP data and inventory trends to support planning and decision-making.
• Manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, vendor performance, and supplier qualification.
• Develop demand forecasts and supply plans aligned with schedules and inventory goals.
• Monitor material deliveries and supplier commitments to meet timelines.
• Identify and mitigate shortages and broader supply chain risks.
• Drive process improvements in procurement and inventory management.
• Support GMP manufacturing operations, including change controls and CAPAs.
• Develop long- and short-range procurement strategies.
