Southwire Company, LLC in Heflin, AL, is seeking a Manager, Materials to lead the materials management function supporting manufacturing and production orders. You will forecast material needs, guide procurement, inventory control, and logistics, and partner with the Plant Controller to ensure accurate month-end inventory records.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in production planning or industrial engineering; CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in production planning/industrial engineering.
• CPIM or CSCP certification preferred (ASCM).

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on materials management strategies that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
• Recruit and build a high-performing materials management team.
• Coordinate processes to ensure efficient material handling across departments.
• Define objectives for materials management initiatives and ensure alignment with goals.
• Develop plans to address resource and operational challenges and ensure timely material availability.
• Ensure month-end inventory accuracy with Plant Controller.
