Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Materials Manager to lead strategy, planning, and control of all raw materials and consumables for autonomous surface vessel platforms. You will oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, traceability systems, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, procurement, and production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of material flow processes in a low-volume/high-mix hardware environment.
• Fluency with ERP/MRP tools and materials data structures (BOM, lot tracking, serial control).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, stocking, and issuing of raw materials, kits, fasteners, adhesives, electrical supplies, and composites.
• Implement and maintain digital tracking systems for materials lifecycle, traceability, and shelf life management.
• Establish and enforce processes for part labeling, location assignment, and pick accuracy.
• Manage material handlers, inventory specialists, and warehouse team leads.
• Collaborate with procurement, planning, and engineering to ensure materials are ordered, routed, and consumed per schedule.
• Define and execute cycle count programs, discrepancy resolution, and physical inventory audits.
• Own kitting workflows and material staging strategies to support build efficiency.
• Ensure all material handling processes comply with safety, export control, and quality standards.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Materials Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and control of all raw materials and consumables used in the production of our autonomous surface vessel platforms. You’ll oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, traceability systems, and cross-functional coordination to ensure that materials are delivered on time, managed efficiently, and stored in compliance with quality and export requirements.

This role is ideal for an operations leader who brings a combination of supply chain discipline, physical inventory control experience, and comfort working closely with engineering, procurement, and production in a fast-paced, high-consequence environment.

Qualifications

Required

Preferred

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated production environments.
• Familiarity with ITAR/EAR storage and segregation requirements.
• Background supporting new facility launches or scaling warehouse infrastructure.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Occasional standing and walking within the office
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
• Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
