Job summary

Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System is seeking a Materials Management Manager to lead operations across the HUP campus, ensuring efficient logistics, optimal inventory, and uninterrupted patient care. The role oversees multiple areas including receiving, storeroom, linen, inventory, and distribution.

You will work closely with clinical departments, vendors, and hospital leadership, provide staff coaching, drive process improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience leading materials management and supply chain teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating across multiple departments and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of materials management teams across multiple buildings and shifts.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, storeroom, linen, and distribution operations.
• Ensure timely delivery and replenishment of supplies to nursing units and departments.
• Coordinate with clinical departments, vendors and hospital leadership to optimize service levels.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delays or errors.
• Utilize PennforFSM to track supply movement and generate basic reports.
