Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Materials Handler to stock patient areas and distribute supplies and patient care equipment. This role supports uninterrupted care by keeping storerooms organized and deliveries on schedule.

You will perform pickup and delivery, inventory functions, and clerical tasks within automated systems, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other standards. Excellent hospitality to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff is expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pickup and delivery of supplies, equipment and other materials as required.
• Performs inventory functions related to the storeroom.
• Advises Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager of stock-out situations.
• Performs clerical functions associated with automated materials management inventory system and receiving verification.
• Cleans work area and ensures compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g. JCAHO, HIPAA).
• Ensures Associate compliance with supply delivery procedures on all shifts.
• Maintains storeroom in a well-organized and clean state.
• Exemplifies hospitality towards patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.
