Job summary

Freemont Yardley Search seeks a senior materials scientist to independently formulate and test materials to ANSI, ISO, ASTM standards. You will design and validate complex studies on organic and inorganic compounds and mentor chemists on projects.

You will identify new materials, develop QC tests for new products, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of analytical equipment and techniques, with rigorous data reporting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of material formulation experience.
• Demonstrable expertise with new product formulation and development.
• Scientific report writing proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Understanding of patent research and invention disclosures.
• Advanced MS Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (Domestic).
• BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Independently formulate and conduct analytical tests per standards.
• Design, develop, and validate complex chemical studies for the team.
• Train and work with chemists on projects.
• Identify new materials and develop quality control tests for new products.
• Maintain knowledge of analytical equipment, procedures and techniques.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and report results.
