Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering or related field is required.
  • 10+ years in metallurgical engineering within manufacturing or R&D.
  • Hands-on with SEM, optical microscopy, metallograph, and hardness testing equipment.
  • Experience with failure analysis methodologies and root-cause investigation.
  • Strong troubleshooting of lab and process equipment.
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills.
  • Sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metallurgical samples and analyze microstructure and composition.
  • Lead failure analysis investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Write clear, technical reports for engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and suppliers to resolve material issues.
  • Support continuous improvement on material quality and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians in metallurgical techniques.
