Northrop Grumman Marine Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Principal Materials Engineer, Level 4, to support submarine and surface ship missile launcher systems onsite. The role requires advanced metallurgy expertise and a strong background in ferrous materials and welding, with DoD compliance and a secret clearance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or related field with 8+ years experience; or 6 years with a Master’s Degree, or 4 years with a PhD.
• Extensive materials engineering/science or weld engineering background.
• Knowledge of metallurgical practices, weld, metallurgy, heat treatments, corrosion control, and failure analysis.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with Navy/DoD processes and workflow.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance.
