Job summary

DreamFields is seeking a Materials Coordinator II to advance material flow and optimize inventory within our production environment. You will oversee advanced tasks, lead small projects, and collaborate across departments to enhance forecast accuracy and waste reduction.

The role emphasizes process improvements, data-driven reporting, and mentorship of junior coordinators in ERP/WMS workflows. This position is on-site at our Michigan facility with normal full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years in inventory control or material coordination, with focus on process improvements and advanced reporting responsibilities.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, or other inventory management systems is required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience leading small projects or training teams is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely delivery and allocation of materials to production pods to maintain stock levels.
• Lead cross-departmental efforts to streamline material transfer and storage and resolve bottlenecks.
• Validate and reconcile complex inbound material transfers for compliance with production requirements.
• Oversee regular cycle counts and advanced inventory reconciliation tasks.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies with production, procurement and warehouse teams to resolve issues.
• Implement and monitor advanced inventory control measures per SOPs and state regulations.
• Collaborate with production on material forecasting to ensure stock for current and future needs.
• Track and evaluate production waste metrics and recommend process improvements.
• Communicate material usage trends and potential improvements to management.
• Maintain KPIs for material usage, waste, and efficiency with advanced reporting.
• Mentor junior Material Coordinators on handling best practices and documentation.
• Assist in developing new SOPs for material tracking and reporting.
