Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Material Verification Engineer for an onsite Tucson, AZ role with regular support in Marana, AZ, to lead disposition and management of nonconforming material across RTX facilities and 3PL partner GXO. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support inspection processes to strengthen Operations Quality. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quality/control or material inspection, with ISO 9001/AS9100 experience.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years of related work, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years.
Relevant experience in quality control or material inspection.
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
Experience with hardware, product, manufacturing, or operations engineering.
U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Identify and manage supplied non-conforming material.
Support RTV activities.
Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.
Interact with Raytheon suppliers to drive closure of material on hold.
Work with inspectors to move material efficiently through inspection after disposition.
Make decisions that may affect program build time to maintain quality requirements.
