Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems in Rancho Bernardo, CA is seeking a Material Planner to join the Material Control group. Under general supervision, you will provide material planning support for research-related or production projects, including scheduling, expediting, and purchasing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and six+ years in planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Planning, Engineering, Production Control or related discipline.
• Six or more years progressive experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting and performance measurement.
• Understanding of planning principles and experience with accounting and manufacturing systems in a research or production environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information; TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan administration for major research-related or production projects including scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.
• Provide planning administration for tasks/projects, including scheduling, budgeting, expediting, purchasing and other duties as assigned.
• Track plans, schedules and budgets; analyze cost/schedule variances and inform management; allocate manpower resources.
• Develop project organization (WBS), schedules, budgets and reporting in collaboration with PMs.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, QA and external contacts; provide status reports and liaise with fabricators and processors.
