Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Stratford, CT is seeking a capable logistics professional to maintain WIP accuracy and manage material flow to sustain steady production. You will log locations, place parts, and generate dispatch lists to support priority scheduling.

Responsibilities include auditing cycle counts, coordinating with Receiving and Engineering, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to work centers. Attention to housekeeping and adherence to safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of material planning, scheduling, expediting, auditing practices and automated shop floor methods.
• Experience with computer systems related to scheduling, inventory and production control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of machining, quality control procedures, assembly methods and general business procedures to plan and coordinate work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain WIP accuracy for assigned KCA.
• Use bar code reader and terminal to log location and quantity.
• Place material in designated racks, bins, or floor locations.
• Log jobs released to manufacturing to in-work or next location.
• Print daily dispatch lists in priority and schedule sequence.
• Audit work order information and cycle-count inventory accuracy.
• Ensure parts are delivered to appropriate areas and test labs in a timely manner.
• Retrieve parts and return carts from Receiving as required.
• Verify operation and work center on operation sheet for work performed.
• Coordinate routing corrections with Manufacturing Engineering.
