Job summary

EDAG seeks a Senior Facilities & Equipment Engineer to drive specifications, bid processes, and on-site installation for automotive material handling systems. You will manage supplier relationships, coordinate with CapEx, and ensure on-time delivery of equipment that supports line-side operations.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial background, 5+ years in automotive manufacturing, and hands-on experience with RFQ processes, vendor selection, and installation oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of facilities and equipment engineering experience in automotive manufacturing launch environments.
• Experience running equipment bid processes end-to-end: spec development, RFQ, bid comparison, award, and installation oversight.
• Experience with material handling equipment: mobile equipment, racking, line-side presentation devices, tugger/dolly systems.
• On-site fabricator/installation contractor management.
• Familiarity with CapEx procurement processes in an OEM or Tier 1 context is a strong plus.
• English (C1-C2).

Responsibilities

• Develop equipment specs and RFQ packages for material handling systems.
• Lead bid evaluations and vendor selections.
• Coordinate with CapEx procurement and on-site installation.
• Oversee fabrication and installation schedules and punch lists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with line-side delivery strategies.
