Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Senior Material Handler to move materials within production cells and ensure accurate inventory. You will update multiple systems to reflect location and counts, and assist with daily scheduling to keep production on track.

The role requires 4 years in manufacturing, ability to read BOMs, and a strong focus on safety and precision. PPE is required and a Class II forklift allows mobility across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of related manufacturing experience is required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Wear PPE as required.
• 6S standards knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with IMI Series (AS400) is preferred.
• Ability to operate Class II sit-down forklift, RF scanner, and pallet jack.
• Ability to update data in manufacturing and supply chain software.
• Must perform basic math and maintain safety standards.
• Ability to read production tickets and BOMs, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to transport inbound and outbound materials within production cells.
• Update data in computer systems including location and inventory counts.
• Prepare for daily production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished products.
• Communicate with supervisors to resolve shortages and inventory discrepancies.
• Record production parts and scrap counts via required paperwork or electronic entry.
• Assist manufacturing team with material requests and additional components.
• Perform daily safety inspections of handling equipment and battery care.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety standards and report concerns to management.
