Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Material Handler I to move inbound and outbound materials within a production cell. You will maintain and update inventory data to ensure on‑time delivery of finished products.

The role supports daily production schedules and collaborates with supervisors to resolve shortages. Ideal candidates have 1 year in manufacturing, basic English, PPE readiness, and familiarity with forklift operation and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Willing to wear PPE.
• Knowledge of 6S standards preferred; IMI Series AS400 preferred.
• Able to operate forklift, RF scanner and pallet jack.
• Experience with material requirements planning software or similar systems.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class II sit‑down forklift to move materials.
• Update inventory and location data in computer systems.
• Verify material moves and support daily production schedules.
• Communicate with supervisors to resolve shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide accurate counts of parts and scrap via paperwork or electronic entry.
• Assist with material requests and ordering of components.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of handling equipment and battery maintenance.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and cleanliness.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and report concerns.
