Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Material Stocker for our facility in New Bern, NC. The role covers stocking, moving materials, inventory verification, and supporting line operations to ensure smooth production flow.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, assisting in training associates, and keeping a neat, safe work area. The position requires flexibility to adapt to daily line schedules and contribute improvement ideas in the work area.

Qualifications

• Associates must work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
• A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
• Associates must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six months.
• Associates cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
• Associates must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.

Responsibilities

• When Upgrading-Material Stockers store, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products, which includes frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s.
• Maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled.
• Supplies parts for a line(s) and transports material through the plant as needed.
• Operates a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant.
• May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
• Assists in training other associates.
• Flexes into the line as needed.
• Accuracy of Inventory record and Quality of work is essential.
• Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• May plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader’s absence.
• Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
