Job summary

Fortune Brands is seeking a Material Stocker to store, issue, and move materials and products within the plant. You will frequently lift boxes and handle various materials while maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring work quality.

You will operate material handling equipment, assist in training teammates, and help plan daily line schedules. The role requires flexibility to move into the line and contribute improvements in the work area.

Qualifications

• Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months.
• Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
• Associate cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
• Associate must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
• Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
• Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
• A 90 day probationary period applies to all job postings.

Responsibilities

• Stock, issue, and move a variety of materials and products, frequently lifting 3–45 lbs.
• Maintain and verify inventory and materials being handled.
• Supply parts for lines and transport material through the plant as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant.
• Disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage various products as needed.
• Ensure quality and quantity of work produced.
• Assist in training other associates.
• Flex into the line as needed and lead in the absence of a team leader.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory records and quality of work.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Plan and organize daily line schedule execution and lead when required.
• Identify and implement improvement ideas in the work area.
