Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating an industrial powered truck, sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Preferred 2+ years operating production equipment in a food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to forklift operations
• Knowledge of safety procedures for operating production equipment
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and equipment monitoring
• Ability to learn SAP and Visitrak to support product movement and tracking

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to meet safety, production, and quality standards
• Perform routine equipment checks including cleaning and housekeeping
• Troubleshoot ingredient transfer equipment to minimize downtime
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE
• Monitor bulk ingredient unloading and route to proper storage vessels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transfers, and COA documents
• Communicate equipment and product quality issues with team
• Ensure bulk ingredients meet scheduled demand and coordinate with Production Scheduler
• Participate in training to enhance equipment knowledge
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and move materials on/off trucks and docks
• Keep inventory records and update systems with material movements
• Tag finished goods moving to Warehouse staging areas
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including forklift and storage areas
• Adhere to SQF and GMP for records and lot tracking
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by plant management
