Job Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
• Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
• Monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping.
• Perform materials analysis and maintain records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas, including the manufacturing floor, by use of hand truck, electric dolly, forklift, or other device.
• Organize stockroom shelves, label items, and ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain storage area organization and cleanliness.
• Check incoming material for damage, verify quantities, unpack items.
• Utilize Syspro, Windchill, and Dash software for transactional purposes.
• Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system.
• Attach tags or labels to materials or otherwise mark information.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
• Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of experience.
