Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Industrial Automation Execution Engineer to support planning, development, and deployment of automation solutions in manufacturing environments, emphasizing material flow, safety, and operational performance.

The role requires collaboration with operations, engineering, materials, and logistics to evaluate processes, develop automation concepts, and drive implementation from design through launch and stabilization. Automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

BS in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience leading automation solution development from concept through implementation.
Familiarity with simulation, digital manufacturing or digital twin tech.
Exposure to controls systems, industrial networking, robotics integration, or automated material handling equipment.
Experience collaborating with automation suppliers, system integrators, or equipment manufacturers.

Responsibilities

Evaluate current-state material flow and identify automation opportunities.
Quantify labor/productivity improvements via analyses to support business cases.
Develop future-state processes and automation concepts (AMRs, AGVs, ASRS, etc.).
Support deployment, commissioning, startup, and stabilization of automation systems.
Collaborate with plant teams and suppliers to align automation with business goals.
Document plans and support continuous improvement of deployment processes.
