The ideal candidate has 5+ years in materials planning or purchasing within manufacturing, with strong ERP knowledge, EOQ concepts, and collaboration across production, engineering, and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Purchasing, or a related field preferred.
• APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) and relevant inventory planning coursework are highly desirable.
• Strong computer proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory performance for assigned materials, including inventory availability, service levels, inventory turns, and inventory investment.
• Analyze demand forecasts, supplier lead times, and inventory risks to make strategic buy and do-not-buy decisions.
• Maintain target on-time delivery (OTD) performance while balancing working capital and inventory investment.
• Monitor and respond to planning exceptions, forecast changes, supplier constraints, and material shortages.
• Collaborate with suppliers, production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and customer fulfillment.
• Utilize ERP systems and AI-enabled planning tools to optimize inventory levels and improve forecasting accuracy.
• Reduce excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining material availability.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records in compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
