Brown’s Family of Dealerships is seeking an experienced Senior Master Automotive Technician for our Iowa locations, including Dyersville, Guttenberg, Elkader, or West Branch. The role emphasizes accurate diagnostics, quality workmanship, and helping other technicians succeed.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform manufacturer-standard repairs, and mentor teammates while maintaining safety and high standards in a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Master or Master-Level certification required.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform repairs and maintenance per manufacturer standards.
• Use factory diagnostic equipment, service information and resources.
• Complete work accurately and efficiently.
• Document findings, recommendations and repairs performed.
• Maintain training and certification requirements.
• Mentor developing technicians as needed.
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel and leadership.
• Follow safety procedures and keep an organized workspace.
• Support a Guest First culture with high service quality.

Senior Master Automotive Technician

Brown’s Family of Dealerships is seeking an experienced Senior Master Automotive Technician to join our growing team. Opportunities may be available at our dealerships in Dyersville, Guttenberg, Elkader, or West Branch, Iowa.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Perform repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer standards
• Use factory diagnostic equipment, technical resources, and service information
• Complete work accurately and efficiently
• Document findings, recommendations, and completed repairs
• Maintain manufacturer training and certification requirements
• Assist and mentor developing technicians when needed
• Work closely with service advisors, parts personnel, and service leadership
• Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
• Provide a high level of service that supports our Guest First culture

Qualifications

• Senior Master, Master-Level, or comparable manufacturer certification
• Extensive automotive diagnostic and repair experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drivability, and advanced vehicle technology
• Current ASE certifications preferred
• Ability to accurately diagnose and complete complex repairs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to continued factory training and professional development
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements, willing to complete pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Experience with Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicles is especially valuable. Certification requirements may vary depending on the dealership location and manufacturer.
