Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Production Planner to manage all planning activities for the assigned workcell, mentoring junior planners and document coordinators. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, build readiness, and accurate forecasting in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will own the Master Production Schedule (MPS), align it with customer PO coverage, and optimize BOMs and routings. APICS certification and supervisor experience are preferred; strong ERP/MRP knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience in related field or Masters + 3 years experience; PhD without experience acceptable.
• APICS certification is preferred; supervisor experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, lead times for components, internal run rates, and scheduling sequences.

Responsibilities

• Manage all planning activities for the assigned workcell.
• Mentor Production Planners and Document Coordinators.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery and build readiness.
• Develop Master Production Schedule (MPS) and load into ERP.
• Reconcile MPS to customer PO coverage weekly.
• Maintain accuracy of MPS, BOMs, and routings.
• Lead EOL planning and schedule management.
• Adhere to safety and company policies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience

APICS certification

PhD without experience
