Job summary

AAA Car Care Plus is hiring experienced Master Automotive Repair Technicians in the Columbus, OH area. The Technician A role involves complex diagnostics and repairs across many vehicle systems, with a focus on engine, transmission, electrical, and driveline work.

The package includes a 30-hour weekly billable guarantee and opportunities for productivity bonuses. ASE certification support and ongoing training are provided, helping you grow your credentials while your career advances within AAA

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional automotive repair experience, including advanced diagnostic work.
• ASE Master Technician certification preferred; dealership certifications or equivalent experience considered.
• Ability to obtain applicable ASE certifications within 12 months; AAA pays for certifications.

What You’ll Work On

• Engine performance, diagnostics, and repair
• Transmission diagnosis and repair
• Electrical and electronic systems
• Steering and suspension systems
• Brake systems, including ABS and traction control
• Heating and air conditioning systems
• Advanced drivability concerns
• Additional mechanical and diagnostic repairs

You’ll also:

• Complete repairs according to manufacturer procedures and recognized industry standards.
• Use your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex vehicle concerns.
• Help mentor and support developing technicians and service associates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Continue developing your technical knowledge through training and certification opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional automotive repair experience, including advanced diagnostic work.
• Strong knowledge across multiple major vehicle systems.
• ASE Master Technician certification, dealership certifications, or comparable advanced experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain applicable ASE certifications within 12 months when required; AAA provides certification support.
• ASE L1 – Advanced Engine Performance Specialist certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Interest in mentoring and supporting other technicians.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Candidates receiving an offer must successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include a background check, drug screening, and fitness-for-duty assessment.
